Is blood really thicker than water? Emma, a young physiotherapist, leads a busy life with her fiancé, as she juggles the search for a flat, a lack of money, and the good old chaos of everyday life. When it turns out she's the illegitimate daughter of a recently deceased shipping company boss, she suddenly becomes a member of Norway’s wealthiest shipping family. The fact that her (apparently) unknown father has left her a hefty chunk of shares leads not only to a row with Emma’s mother and torpedoes Emma’s sense of self as well as her relationship; it also infuriates her brand-new half-siblings … With plenty of humour, humanism, and mockery of all sides – but not without a critique of class dynamics – this turbulent series tells the story of radical upheaval in the lives of everyone involved. We’re showing the first four episodes of the six-part first season as a German premiere.
