Hannah, Katti, and Meret have been part of the same circle of friends since their school days. They grew up together in Kiel, spent their youth together, and are now in their mid-twenties, facing the next turning point in their lives. Hannah has finished her studies and is looking for a suitable job. She is currently working on her applications. Meret plans to leave her home town and move to Switzerland to work in a hospital there. Katti is pregnant and preparing for the birth and parenthood with her boyfriend. These are very different steps on the path to adulthood, and they’re each taking them individually – but also together. The film accompanies the young women over several months during this period of upheaval. With great openness, they talk about their different life plans, their doubts, and their hopes. It’s a portrait of a friendship that, like its protagonists, must change in order to grow.
