Secrets

For most people, the longest relationship in their lives is that between them and their siblings. The music teacher Mads and his sister, Eva, an architect, are very close to one another. They live with their families in neighbouring apartments in Copenhagen and know each other and their respective weaknesses quite well. Despite their shiny façades, both are struggling with demons, old and new. Mads, who misses his old life as a musician, is sinking ever deeper into a morass of drugs, while Eva must cover up the death of her secret lover who was also her business partner. Can the two of them save themselves or each other? Psychologically precise, yet sensitive and touching, "Secrets" tells the story of the many faces people wear. It’s about the intimacy and strength of a family relationship based on trust – but also about how quickly everything can start falling apart. The NFL is showing episodes 1, 2, 5, and 6 of this series by Kaspar Munk ("Ride Upon the Storm", NFL 2018) in its German premiere. There will also be a “What happened in between” recap in the cinema!
