The Tyrant

Also available as part of the short film program Nordic Shorts 5: Chilled ⸺ With a smug grin, the tyrant announces that she has killed all the inhabitants of her empire. She babbles contentedly as she wanders through her secluded palace. But, like other tyrants, she has a sore spot: lovesickness. Layers of fiction begin to swirl together in Svensson's shrill comedy, revealing an imagination in which desire bears cruel fruit.
