Equal Dust

Also available as part of the short film program Nordic Shorts 5: Chilled ⸺ The superimposed texts transform the found-footage shots of a nocturnal drive through Helsinki into an apocalyptic vision. We are told that the footage comes from November 1983, when the world was on the brink of nuclear war. At the same time, the split screen shows the Finnish acts at the Eurovision Song Contests of the '80s: Glam pop, likewise infected with the fear of nuclear catastrophe.
