The Lightning Rod

Irina and her daughter flee from her husband Juho to her grandmother's house. Though Eukko takes them in, she remains cold and closed off towards her granddaughter's needs. Sparse, masterful lighting informs this drama of the generations, united by their lack of communication and suppressed feelings. Emotions are only released when Juho appears in front of the house on a stormy night.
